MY COLOR MY EXPERIENCE with SYDNEY JOHNSON.
We had an open discussion with racial justice advocate, Sydney Johnson. Sydney started non-profit My Color My Experience to provide a platform for black people to share their experiences and to spread awareness. Sydney is a champion for creating an anti-racist society. We covered topics including BLACK MENTAL HEALTH, systematic racism, racial trauma, disproportionate suicide rates in the black community, police brutality, women reproductive rights, AND MORE!

Julia Bower is a Middle School Special Education teacher from Wayne, PA. She graduated from Saint Joseph's University with Bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, with a Master's degree in Special Education. Her passion for mental health stems from a commitment to her students based on the Jesuit value, cura personalis, or "care of the whole person." Julia advocates for students' mental health because it directly affects their learning and their abilities. She believes that all children deserve a "champion," and her goal as an educator is to be that champion for her students.
